New Small Group Tours to France and Italy for 2019!
Leading luxury wine tour provider French Wine Explorers has released its 2019 dates for its small group tours to France and Italy. New for 2019 is a tour to Tuscany, featuring iconic Super Tuscans, Brunello di Montalcino, and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, along with new immersive experiences in France.
French Wine Explorers, America’s leading luxury French and Italian wine tour company, is once again offering exciting wine tour packages for the 2019 season. The tours include the ultimate in luxury accommodations, meals at Michelin-starred restaurants and private chateaux, and feature France’s and Italy’s most exclusive and prestigious wine estates.
The 2019 wine tour schedule includes five scheduled departures, plus private and customized wine tour vacations to Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne, the Rhône Valley, Provence, the Loire Valley, Paris, and Tuscany.
“New and exclusive experiences are the focus of the highly successful Bordeaux and Burgundy programs,” says Pascale Bernasse, president of French Wine Explorers. “And our new Tuscan program is the highlight of the 2019 tour offerings.”
Guests on the Tuscan program will explore Italy’s heartland. They will visit two contrasting wine regions: Southern Tuscany, ancient home to the legendary Brunello di Montalcino and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano; and the Maremma, Tuscany’s coast, where Italy’s viticultural iconoclasts first created Super Tuscan wines.
The Bordeaux Prestige Tour is the ultimate wine tour experience, including VIP tastings of all five First Growth chateaux (Lafite Rothschild, Latour, Margaux, Haut-Brion, Mouton Rothschild) and the most legendary estates of Pomerol, Sauternes and Saint Emilion. New for 2019, guests will enjoy a special cocktail reception at the private home of a chateau owner in St. Emilion; and they will taste the iconic Chateau Petrus during a gala dinner.
The Grand Cru Tour of Burgundy is an in-depth exploration of the Côte d’Or’s finest estates. This is a unique opportunity to taste the 32 Grand Crus of Burgundy, as well as experience special winemakers’ meals and exclusive tastings at some of the best estates of the region. During the 2019 season guests will participate in two private Burgundy masterclasses conducted by a leading Burgundy wine expert.
The Maryland-based company has enjoyed 18 years crafting once-in-a-lifetime small group tours to France and Italy for its guests, and under Bernasse’s stewardship French Wine Explorers has received accolades from the international travel and wine press. Bernasse has garnered recognition also, earning one of the coveted spots on Condé Nast Traveler’s List of Top Travel Specialists since 2011. Her extensive wine and travel industry connections open the doors to top wineries and private estates for their guests, providing visitors an exclusive insider’s view not available to the public.
“We are excited to release our 2019 tour dates to the public since all of our 2018 group dates sold out so quickly,” notes Bernasse. “Our 2019 group tours are filling up, so now is the best time to book a once in a lifetime tour with us.”
The group size of 10-14 guests maximum keeps the tours intimate and ensures personal attention. All tours include deluxe, air-conditioned motor transportation, luxury hotels, gourmet meals with premium wines, all wine tastings, sightseeing, and services of a bilingual wine expert guide throughout. Prices range from US$5990.00 to US$7800.00 per person, double occupancy, for the land-only packages. All programs offer single rooms for solo travelers.
In addition to small group tours to France and Italy, French Wine Explorers also offers custom-designed wine tours for guests wishing to choose their own dates and itinerary, accompanied by a wine expert. Corporate programs are also available, as well as special private tours for wine and gourmet clubs and wine and food professionals.
